It continuing with the thought I had yesterday I think it would be important to note that the two worst “moments” of the debate were around Medicare and Taxes. And let’s face the reality, I’m not sure we could tax people enough to save ourselves. But, Health and Wealth are both important resources for living a happy and successful life. And I think it’s fair to say that the health of nations definitely impacts the wealth of nations.
The conversation made me think of money and I thought of the idea of a pyramid; after all the pyramids are a representation of all reality. (Material and Spiritual) And, I thought, for a second about why they would be on the American Currency?
To me, I have always been drawn to the pyramids; they symbolized something remarkable but I never really questioned why it used on the American currency until today.
There are all sorts of theories out there and most of them can sound a little crazy.
But I think it’s important to note that the simple truth is that the Pyramids are symbolic of the Human condition. The Natural State of Human Health.
Unfortunately, today there are so many definitions to Health. However, through the years, in all societies around the world, health has become synonymous and equivalent to the value of wealth.
I used to work for America’s Largest Alternative Medical Clinic. For $30,000 we would “RESTORE” your health. There is a reason the prices aren’t on the website 😉 Of course, most people who heard about the clinic had already faced death and realized that health is wealth and would pay anything to “feel” better.
There is syllogism and analogy between the two different concepts. Health is as valuable as money. That is because without it, you surely would not enjoy anything in life. You would not be able to appreciate the beauty of each day and live up to acknowledge the joys that come to even the simplest encounters with family and friends.
And, without health, people would not be able to work productively. Thus, there would be little chances and opportunities for earning and doing jobs. People need to work to be able to generate income. But one cannot work if they are ill and incapable to do physical activities. Even office jobs entail good health of employees because through experiences and history, people have determined that without good physical condition, the mental state is also affected.
I’m a believer in the expression Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
People “invest” in their health through healthy lifestyle choices, just like they invest in wealth-building assets such as stock or a college education. Good health is a form of human capital and has been identified as a major factor in the accumulation of household wealth.
The pyramid on the dollar represents the sense of harmony and unity within ourselves and with the environment to which we aspire. The individual building blocks of the pyramid are lessons we have already successfully completed, i.e. the ability we have already learned of how to live the basic rights of existence.
The Great Seal of the United States of America is not an evil symbol. It is a divinely inspired image. Its purpose: to inspire, to protect, and to elevate humanity beyond its current barbaric state.
If we become the Pyramid, we save ourselves. And the end, “Man” is not known for his sense of introspection. He is known for reason, force, his lust for control, and war.
Maybe it’s time to embrace new ways of thinking and relating with one another; ones allowing us to become – or rebecome – as we once were.
And when that day arrives, we will no longer require monoliths of stone to reflect our image.
Live and Learn. We All Do.
